Dallas Nash and his team of loyal hands cantered into the Iron Star. He was wearing his usually outfit, denim jeans and a button down shirt. His black cowboy hat was caked in dust from the long ride from Arizona. He signaled his crew of horses and a wagon to wait patiently while he went and talked the owner. Dallas looked around the ranch, when he spied a fair lady under the shade of the tree with a rough looking man next to a stallion. He decided there was no better option and dug his heels into his fair horse, and galloped over to them. "Howdy mam', my name is Dallas Nash, I come from Arizona and I was told at the inn that Iron Star was in need of some helpin hands" he pointed casually over his shoulder to his small team.
He eyed the man. Something about the way he was confidently holding that horse and the way his eye was placed on the fair lady made him feel uncomfortable. The way he was acting was as if he owned the place, so he though maybe he was the Owner of Iron Star. "Hello man, by the way you're standing I would say you're the owner of this place. So do you think me and my crew can work here for a fair wage?" Dallas hopped off his horse with ease, and took off his hat revealing his curly black hair in respects to the lady.

Elle listened to what King said about horses, and what he said about his horse. Most of it was not all that interesting to her. The little compliment at the end made listening to the rest of it worth it though. "Let's see if that horse thinks the same when my hair's all'a mess," she commented referring to earlier when she had first met King.
"Tied down you say? I think I can arrange that." A smirk crossing her face as she said it. "Just bring the rope an' I'll tie you down." Elle was not too serious about her words, but she was tempted to get her hands on some rope and tie him to her bed. It seemed like a fun and interesting way to possibly get him into trouble with her father. Truth be told she did want to see him squirm a little, and that seemed like it might just work.
When he talked about at least being able to try to conquer it all she knew he wanted the ranch. It just seemed to fit perfectly into his character. Why stop when there is still more to conquer? Indeed he probably was hardly happy with what he had, and always wanting more. That was probably what had brought him to the ranch. "Nothing's going to stop you from trying. It just makes me how long you will be staying here."
It was not long before they were so kindly interrupted by another man looking for work. Not only that but he had brought some extra men with him. His name was Dallas and he was by what he said from Arizona. She was about to tell him that her father, the owner of the ranch, was in the house and would be willing to speak to him. Instead that man mistook King for being the owner, which did not sit well with her.
The way that the man then hopped off of his horse and showed her his respects did not help her mood any. Instead she looked over at King. "Don't you go thinkin' this makes this ranch yours." Part of her just wanted to get up and go back to the house, but she figured she would set this all straight. "Even though he does act like he's in charge," Elle told Dallas. "My father, the owner, is in the house. If you want work you'll go find my father just like King here did this here morning."

Well, excuse me, but I think youve got my chair. No, that ones not taken, I don't mind If you sit here, I'll be glad to share. Yeah, it's usually packed here on friday nights. Oh, if you don't mind, could I talk you out of a light. King grinned, "Wouldn't count on it miss," he said to Elle before tipping his hat at her, then at Dallas. "Pleased to meet you, Dallas, I go by King McCallum." He then turned the horse and ran him towards the cattle without so much as glance back. The horse tossed a few bucks but after the third one the horse stopped and seemed finished with the bucks.
----(don't want to intrude in their chatting plus I'm taking for ever so you guys can rp while I finish the movie, lol, figured that was fair. Gives Dallas time to start trying to pursued her to the good side anyways....)

Dallas Nash was surprised at the short words of the man. He was excepting a long winded speech, or an apology for being mistaken for the Ranch Owner. Dallas just nodded to "King", and watched him gallop off. He turned back to the lady. "Well, thanks I'll go speak to him shortly." he said with a smile. He looked Elle over for the first time. His heart fluttered, and he gripped the brim of his hat until his knuckles turned white. "Well mam' If you want, you can stop by the wagon over yonder and we can get to know each other seeing as how I might be staying here working." He said, in a casual tone, trying to not show he had already fallen for this young woman.
Dallas turned on his heal and led his horse over to the house. He knocked on the door and waited patiently for the owner. Dallas entered the house, and sized it up. "Good evening sir, I'm here with about five other men to look for work. I heard you pay honest wages and run a good place here" he said with respect. Dallas and Mr. Emerson talked for a while, shook hands, smiled and he left out the front door. He paused on the porch, waved his hat happily at the lady indicating things had gone well with her Father.
Dallas put his hat on, leaped on to his horse and went over to his team, giving them the good news.

If anything had shocked Elle it was how little King said. She had at least thought he would of had more to say. Part of her thought that maybe it had something to do with Dallas being there. Deep down though she wondered if she had said something that had for some reason got him to stop saying so much. In truth she kind of missed his remarks. It also left her mind rather restless.
She only half listened to Dallas as he spoke. Mainly because her mind was trying to still figure out what to think about King's few words. Just the she nodded before he took off towards the house. Elle's mind and eyes searched for King. She could just not stop thinking of him. He seemed to be off working on breaking in that horse of his though. So she figured it would be best to try to forget about him for the time being. She would always have a chance to catch up with him later.
As she contained her thoughts she headed over to the wagon the Dallas had mentioned to her. After all it could not hurt matters any. Besides she did wonder if King was the jealous type. Dallas was now a part of the ranch's work force as he had indicated from the porch with a wave of his hat. She listened as he gave his team the good news and smiled. Indeed it would be nice to have more men around working. As she knew that would mean that things would now go more smoothly than before.
"Mister Nash," she said after he got done speaking to his men. "It's nice to have you joinin' us here on the ranch." Elle was more interested in how having him around and her talking with him would make King react more than anything else though. Sure it was nice to have him around, but she was more interested in other things. Mainly things related to King.
