Name:
Josiah Larabee
Age:
Josiah is twenty five years young.
Gender:
Male.
Heritage:
Josiah is a Caucasian.
Job Position:
Josiah is currently a gun-for-hire. Or, a gunslinger as some people refer to them as.
Physical Description:
Josiah is an average man. He's got an average height of 5'6'', long mousey brown hair, and bright blue eyes. It's his smile that really hit people, maybe because it's so out of place, in a man who appears to look so weathered. Josiah has a small, but firm build, the loose clothing that the gunslingers like him tend to wear hides the muscles and makes him look smaller still, to the untrained eye. Josiah tends to keep a scruffy beard on his face, he doesn't like having a bare face, he feels without it, he looks too young.
Josiah has the face of a man who's seen too much. Too much death, too much strife, and too much work. His face has wrinkles that don't belong to a man his age, and his eyes don't show the sparkling joy that should be there, when there's so much that he could acomplish. His hands are calloused and rough, growing up on a farm provided him with that, and the scars that litter across his body are so many, that he can't remember wether he got them in a fight, or from tripping and skinning his knee.
Personality:
Josiah is a quiet man, he likes to take in everything before announcing his opinion, or adding his two cents in. He has a strong mind, and anyone who crosses him would do right to not mistake his quietness for shyness, for Josiah is far from shy. He's got a sharp mouth, and is quick to draw his guns when he needs to. He also considers the gains for him in most situations. He has no one else to fend for, he's got hisself to worry about and nothing else, so he considers only what could benefit him. Josiah isn't what you'd call a selfish man, though, he's always doing the helping sort of stuff quietly, though. He doesn't like a big deal to be made, and so he seems liek a rough and callous man who doesn't care, when really he's just a farm boy who's gotten caught up in a world that may be too big for him.
Past:
Josiah was born to Mary and John Larabee, and from the minute that he could walk, Josiah wanted to be like the men he saw riding in and out of town on those great big horses, their guns strapped to their sides, and all sorts of trouble goign on around them. Josiah was a hard working boy, and never forgot where his head should be while on the farm, although it helped that he had 5 other brothers who would cover for him in a second, if he were to be a little bit careless with his chores. As he would for them.
When Josiah was 15, his mother caught a terrible cold. HIs father didn't have enough money to tend for all 6 boys, and take care for Josiah's mother, so he divided the boys up to freinds and family about the country. Josiah was sent to live with Auntie Rose, and Uncle Gregory. They owned a ranch a ways away, which ment Josiah was cut off from all news of his family, unless a traveller happened to be passing by and had miraculously run into his father as well.
Josiah soon grew to acknowlege that he wouldn't ever get to go home again, when the news of his mothers death reached him, and many years later the death of his father. His uncle had shown him how to use a gun, and Josiah practiced like nothing else mattered.
Josiah got the itch to leave the summer he turned twenty, and despite his Aunt's pleading, he left to find work, and a life. Josiah was roped into a group of men, who were contracted to protect a small town, and from that point on, he was a gunslinger. A wander, and lonely.
