Name: Glinda
Age: 6
Gender: Mare
Breed: Thoroughbred
Training: Glinda is 6 and although her training is almost complete, she doesn't fully understand why she must co-operate and give in to the will of the human on her back. Overall, she is a sweet heart, but doesn't think that she should have to totally submit and thinks that the horse and rider bond should be a working relationship.
Physical Description: Glinda is striking gold palomino with 2 hind stockings a large blaze. Glinda is 15.3 hands and is finely built for a throughbred. Glinda has lovely conformation, although she does have a roman nose which some people in the town consider bad because they think it means she is a 'pregnant dog'. She also had a small scar on her left hind leg because she escaped as a filly and got caught in a fence. It didn't cause any permanent lameness, but it is a visible scar.
Temperament: Glinda has a lot of personality. On the ground, she is extremely easy to work with and curious. If there's something new, she'll have her nose in it. She is also an extremely vocal horse and whinnys whenever she see's her owner. Glinda, however, under saddle doesn't grasp the concept of being completely submissive. She likes to work together as a team and reacts badly when asked to do something she doesn't think is right. She has a fear of crossing creeks but is slowly working through it with her rider.
Past: Glinda's life has been uneventful. As a filly, she escaped from her paddock and injured her leg. This taught her to be cautious, yet curious. She had a few local race meets, only ever placing 3rd and was retired to just being a work horse.
