Please be sure to read through these rules carefully. I am not embedding a password and demanding it on applications as of yet, but if problems arise I may resort to this measure. If you have any questions or something seems unfair for any reason, please let me know. I want everyone to be happy and satisfied.
• Respect each other and your dearest admin, Sojo.
• No power playing.
• The game rating is approx. PG-13, do not exceed this.
• It is preferred that all members have at least one human character and not more than three horse characters without first consulting Sojo.
• Members who have taken on one of the canon characters are expected to remain active. If they disappear for two weeks without prior notice, the canon they were playing will become available once more.
• Make sure your characters follow along with the current time setting of the game.
• Please do not put more than one picture in your signature, and do not make it so big that it stretches the board.
• Characters may swear and use derogatory terms in keeping with the times and the character’s personality. Do keep in mind that this is a game and nothing is meant personally.
• Remember that while women did have a certain amount more freedom in small western towns than in more urban society, they still faced several barriers within employment and social interaction.
• All men must have some sort of occupation. Women may have some limited jobs, but are mostly dependent on either their husband or closest male relative and have the responsibility of helping their husband/relative and keeping house.
• Members who are gone for two weeks without notice may lose their human character’s horses. It isn’t fair to leave the members playing the horses hanging.
• Members interested in having a character who owns his own ranch will need to contact Sojo personally, though until the game has become somewhat populated and active, there will only be the two ranches.
• In order to capture your own mustang or round a portion of the wild horses up for sales, characters need to speak with the sheriff and obtain permission to do so.
• Horses may “speak” to one another, but they cannot communicate directly with humans… nor do they understand what a human is saying (though they can understand tone of voice and body language).
• For the sake of simplicity, there will only be two bands of mustangs in the game; the main herd and a band of bachelor stallions. The main herd will only ever have one lead stallion, but this position can be challenged and fought for.
• Wild horses are free to wander wherever they please aside from the town itself, though it is suggested they remain primarily in the wilds or they risk being captured/chased away.
• Once a mustang is captured, it cannot escape unless a human character actually does something (or neglects to do something) which allows the horse to escape… therefore, no amazing leaps over the six foot fences and such.
• Domestic horses may be stolen or lost to the mustang herd, but they do remain tame and should remain fairly willing to be recaptured and put back to work.
• Unless you have made a specific request to Sojo via PMs, the only horse breeds permitted are Quarter Horse, Morgan, Thoroughbred, Mustang, most draft breeds and mules.
