Physical Description: Marty carries on the Freihert family tradition of being blessed with smooth yet thick blonde hair. She keeps it long down to the middle of her back and cuts it only when she sees fit. Now most of the time she wears her hair up with pins but keeps it loose enough so not to be uncomfortable. Around noon however a few strands always find their way free and hang down around her face.
Along with her beautiful blonde hair Marty was also blessed with vivid deep dark brown eyes though they are not particularly large or thin. As for the shape, they are best described as almonds. Unless she intends to show her emotions, they look very gentle and caring, like she is the kind of person to go to for any kind of support. Most of the time, though, she is usually plotting something behind those eyes - if one looks closely they might be able to catch the mischievous glint that will undoubtedly arise.
Now Marty is quite comfortable with her figure, actually. She isn't the curviest or the skinniest thing around, but rather falls in the space in the middle. With a thin, but strong body she is good with any job thrown her way whether its cooking and cleaning or out in the field and around animals. She stands around 5'7" and is about 132 lbs.
Marty doesn’t particularly care about her clothes all that much. She doesn’t go around wearing old rags with holes though for she is always sure to keep her appearance as clean as possible. She doesn’t mind spending a few pennies on new fabric for clothes and even though she might secretly dream of having a fancy well tailored dress one day she keeps it real and buys the more reasonable material.
Personality: On the outside, Marty looks like quite the lady - polite, poised, and proper. Due to her upbringing she almost always acts this way around people she first meets. Of course, this is not the real Marty, but only the mask that she puts on for as long as she needs or wants to... which is never too long. But, even after she discards the act, Marty is still quite polite and respectful - she knows her P's and Q's well and is well versed in etiquette of all sorts. It comes very easily to her, so much that it has become part of her very nature. Though, she tends to only show these when deserving over time. However she respects basically everyone she comes across - unless they give her very good reason not to - and hardly ever thinks or speaks poorly of anyone.
Shy isn't quite a word to describe Marty. While not to the other extreme of being in-your-face, she is pretty out-going. If she wants to, she will not hesitate to approach someone. She very much likes people in general, so she is friendly and warm to everyone she meets - unless, of course, they give her reason not to be. Even though she likes people very much and enjoys social gatherings, she prefers to be more of a listener. The more interesting points in a conversation can only be caught with a closed mouth, or so she has found. She is also quite perceptive because of this - if she really puts her mind to it she can (more often than not) figure out how someone is feeling or if they're lying. She also likes searching for subtext in conversation by doing this... it is almost a game to her sometimes.
Most of the time she keeps her little fantasies and dreams in her head, applying them to reality only as she sees fit. In addition, she is also described well as a free spirit. Unless she feels it is absolutely necessary, Marty does things on her own agenda, at her own pace, and in her own way. Binds, rules, restrictions... they mean nothing to her. Truly, like the wind, she cannot be contained if she does not wish to be. These two traits are large and key aspects of her personality. Her imagination is often used in her schemes to make everyday life more interesting, a goal/obsession of hers that strengthened and developed over the years. Marty's free-spiritedness, on the other hand, is what allows her to put these little plots into action without much remorse or hesitation whatsoever.
In terms of negative aspects, Marty is a rather vengeful person. Get on her bad side and the hurricane will come ripping out if she deems it necessary. Her childishness also shines through in and overlaps somewhat with this trait. "If you hurt me, then you bet that I'm going to hurt you right back," would be a terribly accurate way of explaining her reasoning behind such bitter actions. This seems to be one of the few things in life Marty actually does have a definite limit to - if she feels she has gotten an eye for an eye then she will surely stop. Revenge, after all, is not something to get carried away with.
Unfortunately Marty is stubborn and does not change directions just because someone wants her to. A d**n good argument or reasoning must be provided - then again, bribes and blackmail work too - if one would even hope of stopping her but otherwise, once she's started, she's gone like the wind.
Past: Marty was born into a small family of four, excluding herself. Her ma’s name is Alice and her pa’s name is Jakob. She then has two older brother’s by the names of William, who is four years older and Jeffery, who is two years older then Marty.
Life was never easy for the Freiheit family. Alice and Jakob were born and raised over in Germany yet once William came along they decided to leave and set out for a new and easier life for their growing family. So on to America they sailed for months then from there they set out by wagon until they reached Tennessee. It was there that they began their new life as farmers.
A few years went by and soon two new additions joined the family. Jeffery came first then two years later Marty joined. Both Alice and Jakob were overjoyed to be blessed with a daughter. Sadly enough though as Marty was old enough to help out around the house alongside her ma, she was also asked to help out with the men’s work due to lack of hands and having so much free land that they had claimed for their own. Even though this was so her ma made sure to teach Marty how to act like a young lady and teach her proper etiquette. Her ma and pa also made sure that their children new how to speak their given language.
A few more years passed on by and soon her brother’s both up and left heading for the south to seek their fortune in gold or whatever else they could find. It was then that the farm began to fall apart since Jakob and Marty couldn’t do it all by themselves, although they tried long and hard. Finally Jakob gave up on farming and decided to move into town where he could work as a banker. Alice and Jakob however wanted more for their daughter. So they gave her half of their life savings, which wasn’t very much, and sent her out on her way.
So that is where Marty is today. She’s out looking to build herself up a home and hopefully one day make her parents proud.
